Re: VGA

The standard 15 pin VGA connector does not carry sound. Only HDMI has that ability (and that is laptop dependent as well). So, you can try an HDMI cable if your laptop and tv have that ability. Otherwise, you would wire a separate audio cable from the speaker out jack to the audio input for your tel...

Change is tricky sometimes

I am reminded often of all the change that the world is going through. Change can be seen in everything from the economy to the oil spill to kids growing up to growing older ourselves. Some would have us believe that change is bad. Others would say that change is good. I guess I feel that change is ...

Re: Time is off by an hour

We try to auto-detect your time zone, and apparently it did not do it correctly. First, if you are in the United States, can you let us know your zip code and time zone. Our database needs to be updated. Second, to get it to show the proper time: 1) Log into your account 2) Click on Your Account / Y...

Hey, for the life of me I cannot get the time to change on our display. It stays an hour fast no matter what I try. :(

Don't frett the mess ups

Have you ever messed up in a way that embarrassed you or cost your company money to get it solved? It seems that I do it at least once a month, and sometimes multiple times per day! Although swallowing my pride, taking ownership of the mistake and doing what is right to resolve the situation is pain...

Life's crazy path

Have you ever noticed that life sometimes throws you curves that you don't necessarily like? Those times seem to be the twists and turns that are much like the path that a raindrop takes when it falls from a storm. The big difference is that a raindrop will usually follow the lowest path - and may e...

Linux - Amazingly powerful

We have just announced our preconfigured Linux player devices for our digital signage system. This project took several months to develop because of the intricacies of Linux and the complexity of our system behind the scenes. I have dabbled with Linux for over 10 years with SAMBA file servers, and i...

Dont you love being excited scared

I doubt that there is an actual word of "excited scared" and I am not sure if there is a word for it (let me know if you can think of one). It is a little like the feeling you get when you see the most beautiful (or handsome) person across a room. It is more like it when you actually make ...

Re: VGA cable and audio cables

If your laptop and screen both have a vga connection, it should be a pretty straight forward connection. You need to tell your television to use the vga port with the on-screen input menu. There is probably a button on your remote or your tv to select the input source. It would probably say "co...
