Outdoor digital signage is certainly an important part of the overall digital signage industry. However, there are some special considerations for outdoor digital signage. Some these include:

What protects the screen from weather?
Will the screen be exposed to temperature extremes?
How will the enclosure be designed to stop vandalism and theft?
How will the screen and enclosure be mounted to stop theft?

Most of these concerns are addressed with a specially designed screen enclosure. Many enclosures are made with bullet-proof glass and tamper resistant mounting brackets and hardware. They are also sealed to protect againist weather. For extreme hot and cold temperatures, some enclosures even have tiny air conditiong and heating units to keep the display at optimum temperature.

While StrandVision does not sell enclosures, we can help put you in contact with various enclosure manufacturers.
